No matter how clean and hygienic you try to maintain your bathroom’s, still this one toy carries harmful germs that can affect your child badly!

According to the latest study, rubber ducks carry potentially disease-carrying bacterias which can make children and even adults ill.

A bathroom is the most sensitive spot:

Believe it or not, your bathroom is one tricky spot from a hygiene point of view, and this is not only said by us but Prof John Oxford, emeritus professor of virology at Queen Mary University in London believes the same.

Like we said, one famous bathroom toy, the rubber duck is declared as bacteria carrying toy by the recent study conducted by, Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology, together with the department of civil engineering at the University of Illinois.

But rubber ducks aren’t the only bathroom toy capable of carrying harmful germ but other bathroom toys carry equal potential as well.

Not only the rubber duck but 19 other bathroom toys are harmful as well:

People who carried out this study observed 19 bathroom toys and reported that harmful bacteria were found in 58% of them.

These toys are not only harmful to children who play with them while bathing, but they can also make the adults ill who use the same bathtub or the same washroom where these toys are kept.

Squirting water out of the rubber duck on your child’s face is dangerous!

You heard it right, the act of squirting water out of a rubber duck seems playful and might make your child happy but it’s highly infectious as well.

The man who supervised the study advised against squirting water from the duck into a child’s face as he said it could potentially lead to “eye, ear or even gastrointestinal infections”.
