The latest Pakistan news is mainly about the upcoming General Election in the country. The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has taken a step forward to facilitate and make the election registration process easier for the voters in the 2018 General Elections.

Pakistan news: Here’s how NADRA is making things easier in the upcoming election

Like I said, nowadays all the Pakistan news is usually about the upcoming elections. In order to make the process less complicated than before. NADRA has launched a short SMS service through which the voters can check their registration and other information related to their polling station.

Citizens can SMS their National Identity Card (CNIC) number (without dashes) to 8300 and the registered voters will receive a reply with their particulars. The reply message, that the voter will receive, is going to have the information containing their name, city, village, district or tehsil and the electoral area.

The message also includes a serial number of the voters registered in the initial electoral rolls.

Voters need to get their votes registered before 30th April:

Aforementioned details sent by NADRA in its reply will contain personal information except for Voter’s house number. Which has been kept as a secret to ensure the confidentiality. In order to avoid any misuse of a user’s confidential information.

Once you receive information through NADRA reply, do check the information, whether it’s correct or not. Candidates should also report to ECP in they found any incorrect information.

And in case if you are not registered then visit the nearby display centers or the District Election Commission office to get their votes registered by 30th April.
