If you thought of Mango as just a fruit, used to make a smoothie, then these facts will surely open up your mind.

It’s almost the summer season here in Pakistan and with the scorching sun upon our head. We instantly think about the summer drinks and arrival of our nationally-loved fruit, Mango.

Mango, an enriching, juicy and beautiful fruit is definitely more than just a fruit for us. It’s life!

But it’s time to make this exaggerated love quotation a bit logical.

There are many facts which we I want to share with you about this heavenly-fruit but first, but before the not-so-food talk.

let’s talk a little about the history of Mango. And share an interesting fact of the mango tree:

Mango-tree is a tropical tree that is native to Myanmar and India. Approximately, 1,000 years ago it was introduced to Africa. And now it’s fruit, the mango fruit is one of the most eaten and loved fruit in the globe.
Here’s the interesting fact about the mango-tree. The tree takes four to six years to bear fruit after its planted but once it starts bearing fruits, it can produce for approximately 40 years.

Mango as a savior for the human body:

Apart from satisfying your taste buds the fruit is used to treat many diseases of the human body.
For more than 4,000 years, it is used as a medicine in the medicinal treatment of India.The juice of this heavenly fruit is used to treat heart stroke patients and is also believed as a restorative tonic.

Many parts of the fruit are powdered and for cleaning the teeth.

Apart from its medicinal benefits, this fruit can be used as a meat tenderizer. It’s proteolytic enzymes that break down proteins, help in tenderizing the meat.
